First and foremost, we thank you for considering becoming a sponsor of the Daufuskie Island Marathon and Half! we have developed this race on beautiful Daufuskie Island which is off the coast of Hilton Head, SC. The DI Marathon has become a highly sought out destination race. Point in fact, USAToday rated the DI Marathon as one of the best destination races in the world!

Proceeds from the Daufuskie Island Marathon go to the Daufuskie Island Conservancy, Haig Point Foundation, and the Daufuskie Island Historical Society. These organizations are non-profits that play an extremely important role in the education, protection, and management of the natural resources surrounding Daufuskie Island and Hilton Head, SC. Their vision falls in line with our passion for a cleaner, safer, more beautiful earth. We support the Historical society yearly with bricks engraved with our winning finishers.

The Daufuskie Island Marathon and ½ Marathon will take place on January 18, 2025. This year will be our 8th year celebration on the island! The race starts in the exclusive Haig Point Community and winds its way through Daufuskie Island. With beautiful views and a weekend line up this is a highly sought after race with a limited capacity of 600 runners. Though we are limited to a 600 runner cap we are expecting upward of 1200+ visitors at the event .

The weekend starts with packet pick up on friday at the Haig Point embarkation. We are also planning a pre-race gourmet pasta dinner at the Haig Point Club House later that evening for those staying on the island.

On race day, runners are greeted with local coffee and homemade cinnamon rolls before the start, when they finish they join the after party in the artesian and runner village. They listen to live music, have lunch on the greens provided by Haig Point, and enjoy the awards ceremony.

There is so much more to this day and we strive to improve it every year. That is where you come in! You have the opportunity to share your passion with our guests.
